Our community partners at Old Coulsdon Residents Association (OCRA) organise a fitting commemoration of Coulsdon's participation in World War I

The Friends of Grange Park would like to thank OCRA for organising a fitting tribute to those individuals of Coulsdon who participated in World War I.  We highly recommend a visit to the emotive exhibition they have organised, which is hosted by Coulsdon College, Placehouse Lane, Old Coulsdon, from 14th to 25th July (except Sunday) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition there is a service on Sunday 3rd August at 3 p.m. at St John's Church, Old Coulsdon, followed by a commemoration at the War Memorial at the edge of Grange Park.

A shining example- Queen's Park, Caterham

Queen's Park in Caterham is an inspiration for our efforts to achieve a renovated play area for Grange Park.  It is a model park, catering for all age ranges and hosts exciting and new play structures for hours of fun.  How many times have you driven to parks further afield than the Grange Park Play Area. albeit that the journey is longer and more costly?  We have lost count!

Heart of the Community Campaign

June 2014- We have entered Friends of Grange park into a competition run by the Croydon Advertiser and our nomination has been short-listed!  If we win we will get a share of £10,000 to help renovate the play area. Voting starts on Friday 13th July and will run until 6th July. To vote you need to collect the tokens printed in the Croydon Advertiser from this Friday (13th).

Please collect as many tokens as you can.  You can either vote yourself and send off the tokens or put them through my door (26 Waddington Ave) and I will send them off.

Waitrose green bin

January 2014- The Friends of Grange Park raised £400 through the green bin collection at Waitrose!  Many thanks to all those in the community who deposited their green tokens in the bin for the Friends of Grange Park.

The Friends of Grange Park at the Old Coulsdon Village Fair

On Saturday 5th July 2014 the Friends hosted a stand at the Fair to raise the profile of the Friends in the community and to raise much needed funds.  Ray and Mairwen Haxton manned the stall, and managed to raise £176 for the Friends by asking for a donation in return for giving the children the chance to make a wonderful sand creation.  Well done Ray and Mairwen!
